Beyoncé said she’s done with acting – Mother, Tina Knowles reveals

Tina Knowles, the mother of American singer and actress Beyoncé, has revealed that her daughter has retired from acting.

It's been over a decade since Beyoncé last starred in a movie, though she lent her voice to the 2019 animated film The Lion King and will reprise her role in the 2024 film Mufasa, alongside her daughter Blue Ivy.

Tina shared that Beyoncé has no intentions of returning to acting. Posting a clip of Beyoncé as Etta James from Cadillac Records on social media, Tina wrote: “[Cadillac Records] is still one of my favorite movies, and it makes me miss the fact that my child decided not to continue with movies. She was amazing in this movie, and she so unselfishly donated her salary to the Phoenix House.”

Before stepping away from acting, Beyoncé starred in several iconic films, including Carmen: A Hip Hopera, Austin Powers in Goldmember, the Oscar-winning Dreamgirls, and a few other classics.
