‘I don’t count weed as hard drug’ – Davido

 Nigerian artist David Adeleke, known as Davido, has expressed that he does not view cannabis, commonly referred to as weed, as a hard drug.

During a conversation about his foundation's initiative to donate to orphanages and combat drug abuse on the latest episode of The Morning Hustle podcast, Davido addressed the criticism aimed at him. Some have labeled him a hypocrite for donating to fight drug abuse while he continues to smoke weed, to which he responded that he doesn’t classify it as a hard drug. 

He stated: “This year, I’m contributing to efforts against drug abuse among young people. I don’t see weed as a hard drug. People have commented on my weed use, but I don’t categorize it as a drug.

“Many individuals have been struggling lately, and drug addiction is on the rise. I want to support this cause to help them overcome it.”
