Approach made: Arsenal receive response after contacting star’s reps over transfer

 Arsenal have reportedly made an informal inquiry to the representatives of AC Milan forward Rafael Leao regarding his interest in a transfer to the Emirates Stadium. According to reports, the Gunners have already received Leao’s response, which indicates that the Portuguese international is content at the San Siro and is not seeking a move.

As stated by Football Transfers, Leao is currently focused on Milan and is not considering a January transfer away from the club.

While this suggests that Leao is not completely dismissing a summer move to Arsenal, it remains uncertain if the north London club will make another attempt to sign him or if they can negotiate a deal with Milan.

The Italian club will likely be eager to retain this key player, especially as the 25-year-old has established himself as a world-class attacker during his time in Serie A. 

Leao could represent an excellent upgrade over players like Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard, but he might not be the only player of this caliber currently on Arsenal's target list.

A report from The Athletic indicates that Arsenal is also interested in Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams, who offers a similar dynamic of pace and skill as a goal threat from the left flank.
