Report: Man City, Bayern and Barcelona enter race to sign top Man United transfer target

The appointment of Ruben Amorim as Manchester United's new manager has led to the Red Devils being linked with several players from Sporting Lisbon.

At the top of United's list of potential transfer targets is Sporting striker Viktor Gyökeres. The Sweden international has been in excellent form for the Portuguese club, consistently finding the back of the net, which has drawn the attention of some of Europe's biggest clubs.

His standout performance, a hat-trick against Manchester City in the Champions League, has only heightened interest in his services.

According to *L’Equipe*, Manchester City, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich are all reportedly in the running to sign Gyökeres, alongside Manchester United.

The striker has a release clause set at £83 million (€100 million), meaning clubs will need to make a significant financial commitment to secure the former Brighton and Coventry forward.

This season, Gyökeres has already netted 16 goals in just 10 Liga Portugal appearances, continuing the impressive form he displayed last season, when he scored 29 goals and provided 10 assists in 33 league matches.
