Man United ask about “quality” star who’s also on Arsenal’s list of transfer targets

Manchester United and Arsenal are both reportedly interested in a potential move for Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sané.

The Germany international is approaching the final year of his contract at the Allianz Arena, making him a highly coveted talent who could be available as a free agent next summer. According to Christian Falk on X (formerly Twitter), Manchester United have already made inquiries about Sané, while Arsenal are also said to have the former Manchester City star on their radar.

The latest developments on Sané’s future will depend on how negotiations over a new contract with Bayern progress, as the player evaluates his options going forward.

Sané continues to be a standout talent, with Bayern manager Vincent Kompany praising him as “quality” on the club's official website. Kompany specifically highlighted Sané's contribution in helping turn the game in Bayern’s favor during their victory over Benfica yesterday.

For both Arsenal and Manchester United, Leroy Sané presents an exciting transfer opportunity. While he may be nearing 29 later this season, he still appears to have a great deal to offer at the highest level of football.

Adapting to the intensity of the Premier League would certainly present a new challenge compared to the Bundesliga, but Sané is undoubtedly a player who could make an impact at either United or Arsenal.
