Toyin Abraham responds to fashion designer’s debt allegation

Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has responded after a fashion designer called her out on social media.

The designer, known as @stitchesbyandra, accused Toyin Abraham, Annie Idibia, and Gabriel Anthony of owing her millions for over a year.

In an Instagram story, she wrote: “@toyin_abraham @annieidibial @gabrielanthonys, my patience is running out. It’s been 1 year and 2 months. How can you hold onto someone’s millions and be so reluctant?”

In response, Toyin took to Instagram on Friday night to deny the allegations.

“Hello everyone, I want to address the recent claims regarding an unpaid debt to a fashion designer. There seems to be a misunderstanding. During the production of *Malaika*, we needed dresses for a runway scene and reached out to several designers, including Tiannah.

“Gabriel, who was part of the team, mentioned that a friend of his wanted to contribute some dresses, which she did. I even bought a hairpiece from her and paid in full. The dresses provided were borrowed for the shoot, and after we used them, I returned them to Gabriel, who brought them to us.

“Upon seeing the allegations online, I immediately contacted Gabriel for clarification. He confirmed that he had informed the designer that the dresses were returned to him and subsequently borrowed by someone else, so it is no longer my responsibility. I hope this clarifies the situation.”
