“Not quite right” – Neville has spotted something very worrying about Liverpool star early on vs Chelsea

 Gary Neville has noticed something concerning about Andy Robertson during the early moments of Liverpool’s Premier League match against Chelsea.

The two teams are clashing at Anfield, with just four points separating them in the Premier League table, both having strong starts to the season. 

Robertson has been recognized as one of Europe’s most intense left-backs since joining Liverpool from Hull City seven years ago. However, the Scotland international is set for a challenging matchup against one of the Premier League’s in-form wingers, Noni Madueke.

Indeed, Madueke, along with Jadon Sancho on the other flank, appears to be a significant threat for Chelsea in the early stages.

Whether Robertson is feeling intimidated by Madueke’s speed or is nursing an injury, he certainly doesn’t seem to be his usual aggressive self, giving the forward space to operate.

This hasn’t escaped Neville’s attention. 

“There’s something off about Robertson in these first 15 minutes or so,” the former Man Utd full-back remarked during his commentary for Sky Sports. 

“Normally, he’s right in the face of his winger, but he’s standing off Madueke by five or ten yards. It’s really unusual to see Liverpool’s left-back like this.”

Neville added shortly after, “He’s struggling. I’m not sure why, as he’s a great defender, but Madueke seems to have gotten into his head.”
