‘I really miss you’ – Comedian Lasisi tells ex-President Buhari amid hardship

Nigerian comedian Lasisi Elenu has sparked discussions on social media after expressing his nostalgia for former President Muhammadu Buhari. Amid the current hardships in the country, he stated that he misses Buhari.

Lasisi, known for his humorous commentary on various societal issues, has prompted both laughter and reflection among his followers with his remarks.

Real name Nosa Afolabi, he took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a voice note he sent to Buhari, where he appeared nearly in tears, saying he misses him. In the message, he said, “I’m not sending you this on behalf of anyone. I feel I owe it to myself and my family. I never imagined I’d be here doing this. First, I don’t even know how to express this. I miss you. God help me, I’m struggling.”

Since Buhari left office in May 2023, many Nigerians feel that the situation in the country has deteriorated economically. Lasisi’s post has generated mixed reactions online, with some fans agreeing with his sentiment, suggesting that Buhari’s tenure offered a sense of order, while others pointed out the challenges experienced during his administration.
