R&B star Temilade Openiyi, better known as Tems, has expressed her belief that she is extremely famous in Nigeria.
In a podcast interview with Big Boy TV in the United States, Tems mentioned that her celebrity status sometimes makes it challenging for her to move around in Nigeria.
She recounted an incident last December when she nearly got mobbed while driving in Lagos.
According to her, she can no longer drive in Nigeria without police escorts due to her popularity. “I used to drive in Nigeria, but now I can’t. I almost got mobbed last December. If I want to drive, I need police escorts in front and behind,” she explained.
Tems also shared that she initially struggled with fame because she is an introvert, but she has since adjusted.
