EntertainmentI wasn’t pressured to become a lawyer like my dad – Falz

Popular Nigerian artist Folarin Falana, known as Falz, has shared that he didn't feel pressured to study law due to his father, Femi Falana’s accomplishments.

In a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Falz discussed how his father’s advocacy inspired him during his childhood.

“I wouldn’t say it was pressure, but when I was young, I often faced reactions whenever I mentioned my name. People would ask, ‘Which Falana? Is it Femi Falana? Oh wow.’

“Everyone seemed to have a story about how my dad had helped them or fought for their rights. At that time, I didn’t feel pressured; rather, I aspired to follow in his footsteps.”

He noted that his father's work significantly influenced him, leading him to pursue law, though he practiced for only a brief period.

“I practiced law for nearly two years but started moving away from it in 2014 when my music career began to take off.”
