Ballon d’Or: A top player – Dida names possible winner of award

 Brazilian football legend Dida has stated that Vinicius Junior deserves to win this year's Ballon d'Or. 

In an interview with Stats Perform, Dida praised his fellow countryman as “a top player.” 

Although Vinicius couldn't help Brazil achieve success in this year’s Copa America—having missed the quarter-final match against Uruguay due to suspension—he excelled at Real Madrid, leading the team to both LaLiga and Champions League titles.

Since the beginning of the 2023-24 season, Vinicius has contributed to 42 goals for Madrid, scoring 28 and providing 14 assists.

Dida remarked, “Vinicius is a remarkable young man and a great player. He performed excellently last year, scoring and assisting, which is why he deserves it. If he wins, it will be well-earned, and we hope he secures this Ballon d'Or.”
