Victoria Monet, boyfriend John Gaines issue joint statement to confirm split

 American singer Victoria Monet and her partner, John Gaines, have announced their separation after several years of dating.

In a joint statement released on Monday, they revealed that they have been apart for ten months. They emphasized that their split was amicable and not due to “infidelity, toxic behavior, or drama.”

They explained that the separation allows them both to pursue personal growth, which they believe is necessary for being the best versions of themselves for their daughter.

The statement included: “We have spent the last 10 months trying to navigate this change respectfully and privately. While we still deeply adore and respect each other, we are no longer a couple. 

“There was no infidelity, toxic behavior, or drama. We simply need to grow individually to continue being the best parents we can be.”
