Nigerian singer Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman, widely known as Oxlade, has asserted that he began singing before he could speak.
In a recent episode of the ’90s Babies’ podcast, Oxlade shared that his parents mentioned this to him.
He elaborated that as a child, he sang more quickly than he was able to form words. “I started singing before I could even talk. My parents told me that,” he said.
“I was singing faster than I could keep up with my speech. That’s what my parents told me, and I believe that’s where my talent began.”
