Nigerian singer Spyro has opened up about his choice to embrace celibacy.
In a recent Instagram post, the musician shared his internal conflict regarding premarital sex. Despite the pleasure he derived from it, he struggled with guilt.
The 33-year-old artist explained that after considerable reflection and prayer, he decided to cut off all temptations.
“Sex felt good until I couldn’t ignore my troubled conscience anymore,” Spyro wrote.
“Every time I engaged in fornication, knowing I wasn’t married to the person, I felt a part of me was taken away. I battled with this for a while, but through prayer, I found the strength to end all such connections. It hasn’t been easy, especially when traveling and encountering situations with tempting women and promoters. But now, I’m committed to keeping this bed for just one person,” he added.
