DJ Cuppy makes history as first Nigerian to host youth session at UNGA

 Florence Otedola, known as DJ Cuppy, a well-known disc jockey and the daughter of Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola, has made history as the first Nigerian to host an opening session at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

Cuppy moderated the Youth Action Day during the 2024 UNGA, themed “The Summit of the Future – Youth Actions Day.”

She also delivered a musical performance following her keynote address. Her session marked the largest youth gathering in the history of the UN Headquarters.

Notable attendees included the UN Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs and the President of Cape Verde, José Maria Neves.
