‘Bobrisky only sought assistance to pay for VIP section in prison’ – Falz tells VeryDarkMan

Renowned Nigerian rapper and activist Folarin Falana, better known as Falz, has revealed that Bobrisky only reached out to him for financial assistance during his time in prison.

According to HENRYSHUSTLE, Bobrisky was incarcerated for three months after admitting guilt to charges of naira mutilation, following his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). He was released on August 5, 2024.

On September 24, 2024, popular self-proclaimed activist and social commentator Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, leaked an alleged voice recording of Bobrisky. In the controversial audio, Bobrisky claimed that a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and his son, Falz, played a role in persuading the EFCC to drop money laundering charges against him while he was behind bars.

In response to the backlash that ensued from these claims, Falz, through his legal team at Falana & Falana’s Chambers, denied ever initiating contact with Bobrisky during his imprisonment.
