HENRYSHUSTLE reports that VeryDarkMan had previously shared an audio recording allegedly from Bobrisky, in which Bobrisky claimed he was asked to pay N15 million to have money laundering charges dropped.
In response, the EFCC sent a letter inviting both VeryDarkMan and Bobrisky to its Lagos office to "assist investigators in uncovering the alleged bribery." However, VeryDarkMan stated on Wednesday that he would not honor the invitation to Lagos because he does not live there and is uncertain about what might happen if he goes. Instead, he suggested that the agency invite them to its office in Abuja.
He further criticized the EFCC for not ensuring Bobrisky was actually imprisoned and remained there.
“Before inviting someone like me, you should conduct a thorough investigation into your own officers first. Once you have the results regarding those who handled Bobrisky’s case, then you can invite me.
“It makes no sense to ask me to come to Lagos when the EFCC headquarters is in Abuja. You should invite Bobrisky to Abuja for your investigation instead.
“Lastly, I won’t go to Lagos because I don’t have N15 million to pay for anything. I have no influential connections and I don’t want to be framed. I don’t trust you, so I won’t be going,” he concluded.
Bobrisky has denied paying N15 million to have the charges dropped, calling the audio recording fake.
