‘Stop it’ – Actors Guild cautions Nigerians over rumours of Olu Jacobs’ death

 The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has issued a cautionary statement to Nigerians regarding false rumors circulating about the death of Nollywood actor Olu Jacobs.

Emphasizing Jacobs' current state of being alive, AGN spokesperson Kate Henshaw urged those responsible for spreading such claims to cease their actions.

In a post on X, Henshaw expressed bewilderment at the annual recurrence of false RIP posts concerning Olu Jacobs. She stated: “It is very disturbing, to be honest, how every year you post RIP about someone who is still very much alive."

She continued: “This happens all the time to this great man and his family. It is completely inappropriate. Please stop, for the sake of goodness. UNCLE OLU JACOBS is ALIVE.”

Earlier reports had falsely indicated that the esteemed Nollywood actor had passed away on Sunday. However, the actor’s family has since refuted these claims.
