‘Proud to see Naija boys shining on global stage’ – DJ Cuppy hails Rema, Asake, others

 Florence Otedola, known as DJ Cuppy, has expressed admiration for Nigerian afrobeats stars Asake, Rema, Ruger, and Shallipopi following their debut at the UK's Wireless Festival.

According to HENRYSHUSTLE, the quartet of Nigerian afrobeats artists captivated audiences across multiple dates during the 2024 Wireless Festival in London.

DJ Cuppy, who also performed as a DJ at the festival, took to social media to congratulate and praise Rema, Asake, Ruger, and Shallipopi for their outstanding performances. On her X handle, she wrote: "I must give props to all my brothers! Congratulations to @asakemusik, @heisrema, @shallipopi_, and @rugerofficial for their stellar performances at #WirelessFestival. Proud to see our Nigerian talents shining brightly on the global stage. No lagging behind anywhere!"

Recently, Ayra Starr and Burna Boy made history as the first African artists to perform on the main stage of the UK's renowned Glastonbury Festival. Additionally, British band Coldplay featured legendary Nigerian afrobeat musician Femi Kuti during their Glastonbury performance.
