‘People are hungry, tired’ – Ayra Starr

Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has shared her perspective on why she doesn’t let negative criticism affect her.

The ‘Bloody Samaritan’ artist explained that she remains unaffected by critics because many of them are dealing with their own issues, such as depression and financial struggles.

She emphasized that worrying about others' opinions is a waste of time. In a recent interview with Dose Society, Starr stated: “What really matters less? I believe it’s other people’s opinions and perceptions of you.

“People are occupied with their own lives—many are struggling and hungry. So, stop stressing about what others think of you. They’re likely preoccupied with their own challenges, wondering if they’ll make it through the day.

“There’s so much going on in the world. If you focus on others' judgments, you’ll only be wasting time. Instead, concentrate on being yourself, build your self-confidence, and don’t worry about the results. Embrace failure as part of the process, and when you eventually succeed, you’ll be incredibly proud of your journey.”
