Betty Irabor, founder of Genevieve Magazine, has dismissed circulating reports that Nollywood veteran Olu Jacobs has passed away.
Social media had been abuzz with rumors claiming the seasoned actor had died at the age of 82 on Sunday. Jacobs has been contending with dementia for some time.
Irabor took to Twitter to clarify: “Olu Jacobs is alive and well. Please disregard all rumors of his death.”
Additionally, Jacobs’ family has shared a video affirming his current state of health.
Addressing the challenges last year, his wife Joke Silva remarked on how Jacobs’ illness has profoundly affected him: “It hasn’t been easy. I reached a point of acceptance that what is happening is reality, and most of the time, the person I married is no longer fully present.”
