Making his declaration at WWE Money in the Bank in Toronto, Canada, the 16-time world champion revealed that he plans to retire from wrestling in 2025. Cena specified that his final appearances will include the 2025 Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, and WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.
Sporting attire branded with ‘John Cena Farewell Tour 2025’, the WWE veteran reflected, “I’ve spent over two decades in WWE, witnessing incredible highs like what we're experiencing right now. WWE is the hottest ticket in town, no doubt. But I've also endured true hardships, when nobody knew my name, nobody wanted to be my friend, and only the most loyal and dedicated fans stood by me.”
Additionally, Cena expressed his intent to be involved when Raw transitions to Netflix in January.
Debuting in WWE in 2002, Cena has shifted to a part-time role since 2018 to focus on his burgeoning film career.
