HENRYSHUSTLE reports that Isime recently shared a poster for her movie titled *Blood Brothers*, which features her wearing a niqab and holding a gun.
The poster has sparked widespread condemnation from Muslim communities on social media. Critics have expressed their disapproval of Isime's portrayal of a niqab-clad character in a robbery scene, leading the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) to urge the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) to ban the film.
In response, Isime took to Instagram, where she shared a series of posts that seemed to reflect her stance. She wrote:
“Really out of the way. In my own world. No drama or gossip. Just goals and money. Peace is where I’m at.
“I don’t bother anybody and I’m not bothered by anybody. To protect my peace, I stopped taking other people’s projected opinions personally.
“Reminder: Your light often highlights other people’s insecurities and shortcomings, which they then project back onto you as a flaw. It’s a coping mechanism. Attacking you makes them feel safer.
“Isime baby, omo ologo 5g. The brightest light. The city on a hill that can never be hidden. Nancy Isime. Big name with big force. Getting talked about doesn’t faze me. Look at the people who are talking.”
