‘I’m not in rush to be on Rema, Asake’s level’ – Victony

Afrobeats artist Anthony Victor, widely known as Victony, has addressed the notion that he’s rushing to reach the same level of fame as his peers Rema and Asake.

This came in response to claims from some social media users who suggested that his debut album ‘Stubborn’ failed to achieve commercial success because it lacked the negative buzz from “haters” that could have made it trend online.

Victony dismissed this notion as “dumb,” highlighting that the expectations some people have for the album exceed his current standing in the music industry. On his X account, Victony wrote: “Lmao, saying Victony needs more haters is the dumbest thing I’ve seen. Why the rush? Does everyone need to become Rema and Asake in just a couple of hours?”
