Veteran Nollywood actress Ayo Mogaji has finally revealed the reasons behind her departure from her 13-year marriage with retired footballer Victor Ayodele Oduleye.
Previously, Mogaji, who had a 20-year-old son with her colleague actor Jibola Dabo, whom she referred to as her boyfriend, later married Victor Ayodele Oduleye in 2006.
In a recent interview on the ‘Talk To Be’ podcast with actress Biola Bayo, Mogaji accused Oduleye of abusive behavior. She detailed their relationship, saying, "We fell in love, but I endured physical abuse over minor issues. Even in England, there was verbal abuse, mental anguish, and physical violence. When it became unbearable, I would advise anyone to leave such a marriage."
"It reached a point where, if we were alone at home, I would go outside the compound and wait until someone came by, just to avoid the abuse," she added. "We were together for thirteen years, but we've been separated for four years now."
