Disabled fan debunks rumours Chris Brown refunded her ticket fee

Karell Russell, a woman with physical challenges who gained online fame after her ‘Meet & Greet’ photos with Chris Brown went viral, has responded to rumors suggesting that the singer gifted her $10,000 after refunding the $1,111 she initially paid for the session.

The rumors started circulating after a user identified as @lushhotz on X tweeted: “This woman paid $1,111 for a ‘Meet & Greet’ with Chris Brown. When he saw her, he refunded her money and also gave her an extra $10k, along with these beautiful pictures.”

In a video message shared on her TikTok page, Russell addressed the speculation, clarifying that she indeed paid for the meet-up herself. She expressed her discomfort with strangers on the internet using her image and exploiting her disability for engagement and spreading misinformation.

“What I’m not okay with is strangers on the internet using my face and exploiting my disability for likes and clicks while spreading misinformation. That, we not gonna do,” she asserted.

She further emphasized her support for Chris Brown both as a brand and as an individual, affirming that whenever she attends a show or a meet and greet, she purchases her ticket and covers her own expenses.
