Cardi B outsells Nicki Minaj in US in credited units

Rapper Cardi B has surpassed her rival Nicki Minaj in total certified units sold in the United States, making her the highest-certified female rapper in US history.

According to information from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), Cardi B has sold 107 million units, while Nicki Minaj has sold 106 million units. It's noted that although Minaj has sold more records overall, many of her hits were features that were not credited to her on the RIAA's official site.

In related music achievements, Alicia Keys recently achieved her first-ever diamond single in the U.S. with her 2009 collaboration with JAY-Z, 'Empire State of Mind', which was certified Diamond by the RIAA for selling 10 million units. This marks JAY-Z's third diamond single, following 'N****s In Paris' with Kanye West and 'Umbrella' with Rihanna.

Across the Atlantic, Eminem was honored with the BRIT Billion Award for becoming the top-selling American rapper in the United Kingdom, amassing 7 billion career streams.

The BRIT Awards tweeted, "Four times a BRIT Award winner, @Eminem receives a BRIT Billion Award having achieved 7 billion UK career streams!" alongside a photo of Eminem with the award.
