The lawsuit, filed by singers from Texas and Oklahoma, accuses Cardi B of using their song in her track “Enough (Miami)” without obtaining permission. This legal action comes following the success of Cardi B's "Enough (Miami)," which reached the top 10 charts upon its release in March.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Miguel Aguilar (also known as Kemika 1956) and Joshua Fraustro (also known as Sten Joddi) claim that Cardi B and her producers incorporated elements from their 2021 song “Greasy Frybread” into her track. They further alleged that their song was also featured in promotional material for the FX series “Reservation Dogs.”
The lawsuit names Atlantic Records, Warner Music Group, and producers OG Parker and DJ SwanQo as co-defendants alongside Cardi B.
“Enough (Miami)” was released on March 15, 2024, approximately three years after the release of “Greasy Frybread.”
