“Take a look at America, y’all,” Beyoncé began, with her hit song ‘Ya Ya’ from her latest album, ‘Cowboy Carter,’ playing in the background. “These hopes and dreams, these superstars representing us, from this big, bold, beautiful, complex nation—all coming together to support them.”
She highlighted a few of the athletes—Simone Biles, Sha’Carri Richardson, Noah Lyles, Caeleb Dressel, and Katie Ledecky.
“That pride and joy? That’s what I love about this team. That’s what makes me believe in them, and I’m so excited to see what they achieve over the next 16 days.
