Reflecting on his past experiences with body shaming as an actor, Duncan addressed a troll who questioned his eligibility to be considered handsome based on his weight.
He revealed enduring a significant back injury while striving to meet societal standards of weight, a struggle that deeply affected him within the industry.
Despite the adversity, Duncan asserted that he is now unaffected by such criticism but chose to speak out to support others facing similar treatment.
Taking to his Instagram page, the actor expressed, “Recently, @iamadeogooluwayimika made a comment suggesting I didn’t belong on Nigeria’s list of most handsome men because of my size. This kind of comment slides off me like water off a duck's back, having no impact or lasting effect.”
Acknowledging his larger physique over the past decade, Duncan admitted to enduring trolling and professional setbacks due to his weight. However, he emphasized that these experiences no longer hold sway over him or his career.
He concluded by stating, “This post isn’t about me; it’s for those who endure body shaming or are labeled 'unattractive' due to their size. We must stand up for one another against such harmful judgments.”
