Nvidia eclipses Microsoft as world's most valuable company

On Tuesday, Nvidia surpassed Microsoft to become the world's most valuable company, driven by the pivotal role of its high-end processors in the competitive race for artificial intelligence technology dominance.



Nvidia shares rose 3.5% on Tuesday, giving it a market value of about $3.34 trillion. That pushed the semiconductor bellwether past Microsoft (MSFT.O) , opens new tab and Apple (AAPL.O) , opens new tab, which had been jostling for the top spots in recent days.
