Temilade Openiyi, the Grammy-winning Nigerian vocalist better known as Tems, recently expressed her views on the motivations of many men in relationships.
According to her, a significant number of men approach relationships solely for sexual gratification.
This sentiment was shared by the Oscar-nominated songstress in a preview for the upcoming episode of ‘Flow with Korty.’
During the conversation, host Korty EO inquired, “Have you ever experienced love?”
In response, Tems remarked, “Many men are quite transparent... Their intentions are purely physical.”
The singer of the hit track ‘Essence’ also opened up about the challenges she faced due to her reserved demeanor, recounting instances of being misunderstood and bullied.
“It felt like whatever I did was wrong. People would criticize, ‘Why are you so slow? Why do you speak so softly? Speak with energy.’ And my response would be, ‘You’re being ridiculous. Are you serious?’ I was constantly frustrated,” she shared.
Tems further revealed that her refuge from such negativity was found in her musical talents.
