Maureen Esisi, the former wife of Nollywood actor Blossom Chukwujekwu, has expressed regret over their marriage.
During an episode of the 'The House Chronicles' podcast, the fashion designer referred to the five years they spent together as "lost time."
Esisi lamented that if she had married someone else, she might have already been a mother of two. "I regret marrying him [Blossom Chukwujekwu]. It feels like five years of my life wasted. That’s significant. I could have been married to someone else and possibly had two children by now," she shared.
"I wish I had children because the prospect of having them now is daunting and frustrating. I’m currently focused on starting a family. I don’t know how it will happen, but I’m determined to become pregnant this year."
It's noted that Chukwujekwu remarried Pastor Ehinome at Christ Embassy in June 2022, three years after his marriage to Maureen Esisi ended.
Esisi emphasized that it was Chukwujekwu who decided to end their marriage, emphasizing that divorce wasn’t something she considered. She clarified that they are not officially divorced as she hasn't signed any legal documents.
