Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, widely known as Tems, has disclosed her deliberate choice to wear loose-fitting attire to the studio in order to avoid attracting attention from producers.
The artist, who possesses a notably curvaceous figure, revealed that she faced challenges maintaining focus in the studio due to unwanted attention from producers. This led her to lose confidence in her appearance.
During an interview on the recent episode of the Flow With Korty show, Tems explained that her physical attributes became a hindrance to her career. Consequently, she transitioned from wearing fashionable attire to baggy clothing to minimize distractions from producers, particularly when working in the studio.
She explained, "There was a time when I wasn't entirely comfortable with my body. I found myself in numerous studio sessions with unfamiliar people. I reached out to individuals to teach me music production."
"Given my primary goal of creating music, if my physical appearance was becoming a distraction and impeding my progress, I decided to take action. Thus, when I'm in the studio, I opt for loose-fitting clothing and maintain a confident demeanor to prevent any unwanted attention."
