Nigerian Afrobeats artist David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, responded to criticisms from his colleague Portable following their recent dinner in the United States.
According to reports by HENRYSHUSTLE, Portable expressed disappointment, claiming that Davido advised him against signing with Sony Music, the label Davido is associated with, and instead suggested he join Empire.
Portable, known for his song 'Zazu,' voiced concerns, questioning the integrity of the advice, especially since he also aspires for Grammy recognition like Davido. Davido's recommendation to join a label that might not facilitate his Grammy aspirations seemed contradictory to Portable.
In response, Davido unfollowed Portable on Instagram, a move that was noted by users who visited their profiles on Thursday evening.
Earlier, Portable had expressed concerns about attempts to create discord between him and Davido. He emphasized his reluctance to engage in any conflicts with Davido, acknowledging the support he has received from the DMW boss in the past.
