Chris Brown would’ve been today’s Michael Jackson – Fat Joe

 Legendary American rapper Fat Joe has expressed his belief that Chris Brown could have reached the same iconic status as the late Michael Jackson if not for the controversy involving Rihanna early in his career. Speaking on a recent episode of his ‘The Biggest Fat Joe’ podcast, the hip-hop icon hailed Chris Brown as the most gifted singer, performer, and hitmaker of his generation.

“If Chris Brown hadn’t faced the controversy with Rihanna, we would be comparing him to Michael Jackson right now. He’s the most talented singer, artist, performer, and hitmaker of our era. There’s simply no one else like Chris Brown,” Fat Joe asserted.

“It’s time to move past that incident [with Rihanna]. It’s been over 20 years, and there hasn’t been a similar incident since. What I’m saying is, it’s a shame that we’re not acknowledging and honoring the King of R&B.”

It's worth noting that Chris Brown faced significant backlash and was ostracized by many music fans, particularly in the Western world, following allegations of physical assault by Rihanna in 2009.
