Reaction from Nigerians pours in as Funke Akindele's 'A Tribe Called Judah' fails to secure a win at the 10th AMVCA.

Reactions continue to flood in following the conclusion of the 10th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), held at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos on Saturday.

Notably, the absence of accolades for Funke Akindele's groundbreaking film, 'A Tribe Called Judah,' has emerged as the predominant topic of discussion surrounding the event.

According to reports by HENRYSHUSTLE, 'Breath Of Life' emerged as the standout winner of the evening, securing six awards, including Best Movie, Best Sound Design, Best Director (BB Sasore), Best Lead Actor (Wale Ojo), Best Supporting Actor (Ademola Adedoyin), Best Supporting Actress (Genoveva Umeh), and the Trailblazer Award (Chimezie Imo).

In contrast, 'A Tribe Called Judah' failed to convert any of its five nominations into wins, despite its distinction as the first Nigerian movie to gross over N1 billion in cinema revenue last December.

Expectedly, the overlooking of Nigeria’s highest-grossing film has ignited a storm of discussion on social media platforms.
