Popular comedian Efe Warri Boy has reacted to the reinstatement of Nigeria’s old national anthem, “Nigeria, We Hail Thee.”
According to Efe, President Bola Tinubu’s decision to reintroduce the old anthem is an attempt to become a hero through the “backdoor” after failing at governance.
He shared his thoughts in a video message on his Instagram account, stating: “President Bola Tinubu has been trying to impress Nigerians, which hasn’t been working. Now he’s trying to become a hero through the backdoor by changing the national anthem [laughs].
“He should have sought advice on governance from the Governor of Abia State, Alex Otti. There is nothing one won’t see in this administration. You can’t become a hero through the backdoor. Show your work, sir. You want people to remember you for changing the national anthem.
“Nigerians deserve better. The hardship in the country is increasing. What the president is doing shows he is incompetent.”
