National Anthem: Bring back old Naira-dollar exchange rate, fuel pump price too – Igosave tells Nigerian govt

Following the reinstatement of Nigeria’s old national anthem, “Nigeria, We Hail Thee,” comedian Otaghware Otas Onodjayeke, known as Igosave, has called on President Bola Tinubu’s administration to also restore the country’s economy to its previous standards.

According to HENRYSHUSTLE, President Bola Tinubu signed the National Anthem Bill 2024 into law on Wednesday, reinstating the old anthem, “Nigeria, We Hail Thee.”

In response, Igosave urged the Federal Government to improve the economy and security standards, now that the old national anthem has been reintroduced. On his Instagram story, he wrote: “Since you’ve brought back the old national anthem, can you also bring back our old dollar price, old fuel price, old flight punctuality, old taxation, and old security standards?”

Other celebrities, such as Kate Henshaw and singer Joeboy, have also criticized the Federal Government for prioritizing the change of the national anthem over addressing the numerous challenges facing the country.
