Nollywood star Angela Okorie has criticized her colleague, Zubby Michael, for publicizing his donation to the family of their late colleague, Junior Pope.
HENRYSHUSTLE reports that a video showing Michael making a donation to Junior Pope’s widow, Jennifer Awele, and their children has gone viral on social media.
In response, Okorie condemned Michael for making the donation "on camera." She emphasized that a funeral is not the appropriate place to flaunt wealth.
On her Instagram story, she wrote: "Zubby, a young person has died; that display of money was unnecessary. But as the local boy that you are, you lack sense. You don’t know when to show off and when to behave properly.
"Do you have more money than all the dignitaries who attended? Fool."
HENRYSHUSTLE recalls that Junior Pope died on April 10, 2024, along with three others after their boat capsized on the Anam River in Anambra State while returning from a film location.
He was laid to rest in his hometown, Ukehe, in Nsukka Local Government Area, Enugu State, last Friday.
