"Actress Ms DSF shares her experience of being turned down by men due to the loss of her mother during childhood."

Nollywood actress and media personality Dorcas Shola Fapson, popularly known as Ms. DSF, has shared an incident where a man expressed his reluctance to date her upon learning about her childhood loss of her mother.

She recounted how the man conveyed that he couldn't pursue a relationship with someone who hadn't been raised in a "two-parent household."

Ms. DSF discussed this during her appearance on the latest episode of the Bahd and Boujee Podcast, co-hosted by reality star Tolanibaj and actress Moet Abebe.

Reflecting on the encounter, she stated: "The most shocking thing someone has ever said to me was when I disclosed to a guy that I lost my mother as a child, and he responded that he could never consider dating me. He explained that he couldn't envision being with someone who hadn't grown up in a household with both parents. And while I understand his perspective, could I have prevented my mother's passing? Is that something for which I should be blamed?"

One of the hosts, Moet Abebe, shared a similar experience, saying: "I can empathize because someone has also expressed a similar sentiment to me in the past. His reasoning was that he, too, was raised by a single parent. Consequently, he didn't desire a partner from a comparable background. That was his justification, but I found it unreasonable."
