Ganiyu Oyeyemi, a seasoned actor in Nigeria's Nollywood industry, widely recognized as Ogunjimi, has passed away.
The news of his demise was announced by his colleague Kunle Afod, who shared the sad news on his Instagram page. Afod expressed their efforts to save Ogunjimi but ultimately acknowledged that God had chosen to take him. He wrote, "We did all we could, but God's love prevailed. May Baba Ogunjinmi rest in peace. RIP. Sun re oooo."
The cause of Ogunjimi's death has not yet been determined.
His passing comes shortly after the death of another Nollywood actor, Tolani Quadri Oyebamiji, affectionately known as Sisi Quadri, adding to the recent losses suffered by the Nigerian film industry.
