Davido, the Afrobeats sensation, emphasized that his achievements in the entertainment industry are not solely attributed to his affluent background, but rather to his personal principles.
During an appearance on the American podcast 'Business Untitled,' Davido pointed out that despite the existence of individuals from wealthier families in Nigeria, not all of them have achieved the same level of success in music and entertainment.
"There are numerous billionaires in Nigeria, some even wealthier than my father," Davido remarked. "However, there are individuals from similar backgrounds who have attempted to pursue careers in music, entertainment, and business but haven't achieved the same level of success as I have. I attribute my success to my values."
He further elaborated, "When I embarked on my music journey, I faced a significant challenge due to my father's wealth. However, I believe I was accepted and recognized primarily because of my talent and skills. If I hadn't been proficient at what I do, I don't think I would have garnered the same level of acceptance."
