Megan Pete, known professionally as Megan Thee Stallion, an American rapper, faces accusations of sexual harassment from her personal photographer, Emilio Garcia.
In a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday, Garcia, who has been working with Megan since 2018, alleges that the hip-hop star “coerced” him into observing her engage in a sexual act while they were in a moving vehicle.
“Emilio should never have been compelled to be in the vehicle with her while she engaged in sexual activity with another woman,” stated Garcia’s attorney, Ron Zambrano.
Additional claims in the lawsuit include breaches of employment standards and disparaging remarks about Garcia’s weight.
Garcia seeks unspecified compensatory and punitive damages for what his lawyer describes as a clear instance of “sexual harassment and fat-shaming.”
However, Megan Thee Stallion has refuted the allegations.
Her attorney, Alex Spiro, asserted in a statement that the lawsuit primarily aims to secure a financial settlement.
“This is an employment dispute seeking monetary compensation—without any sexual harassment allegations lodged and with sensationalized claims to tarnish her reputation.
“We will address this matter in court,” Spiro added.
