Former Leicester City winger Matt Piper has characterized Wilfred Ndidi’s goal against Southampton as a decisive strike.
Ndidi, Abdul Fatawu, and Jamie Vardy all contributed to the scoreline for Enzo Maresca’s team in a 5-0 victory at the King Power Stadium.
As a result, the Foxes extend their lead at the top of the table to four points with two matches remaining.
Stephy Mavididi delivered a cross that found Ndidi, who then headed in the ball from six yards.
Piper commented on BBC Radio, stating, “The crowd was expressing frustration when Jamie Vardy held onto the ball; they believed he should have taken the shot.
“However, Wilfred Ndidi swiftly intervened with his sixth goal of the season. Southampton must be devastated—it's a devastating blow for them.”
