The family of the late Nollywood actor John Paul Odonwodo has released details regarding his funeral arrangements.
Tragically, Junior Pope and four other actors lost their lives in a boating accident on April 10 while returning from a movie shoot in the Anam River, Anambra State. Out of the 12 individuals on board, only seven were rescued alive.
The funeral arrangements, authorized by Divine Odonwodo on behalf of the family, include a requiem mass held on April 23 at Saint John-Mary Vianney Parish in Asaba, Delta State, followed by another requiem mass scheduled for May 13 at Christ the King Catholic Parish, G.R.A., Enugu.
An evening of tributes and candlelight will take place on May 14 at Amadeo Event Centre in Enugu at 5 pm. Subsequently, a wake will be held on May 16 at his residence in Uwala Abaka, Ukehe, located in Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of the state.
The burial ceremony will occur on Friday, May 17, at his residence following a burial mass at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church, Ukehe. Interment will take place immediately after the burial service.
The funeral proceedings will conclude with a thanksgiving mass at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church, Ukehe, on May 20.
