Asake, the Afrobeats sensation whose real name is Ahmed Ololade, shared that securing employment in Nigeria is challenging for individuals with tattoos.
The musician, sporting a tattoo on his neck, expressed his inability to find employment or engage in business due to prevailing stereotypes surrounding tattoos in Nigeria.
Reflecting on his appearance in the latest edition of GQ magazine, Asake remarked, "In Nigeria, having a neck tattoo practically disqualifies you from employment opportunities. I face limitations in securing a job with any company or conducting business ventures."
He also discussed his rapid rise to stardom, emphasizing that his success in the music industry wasn't as sudden as it might appear.
"You need to grasp this: it took me two years to get here, but I've been putting in the work for years. People focus on the days of your triumph, not the days of your toil. Nobody cares about that," Asake asserted.
