David Adeleke, the Nigerian singer better known as Davido, has made it clear that he believes he stands alone as the foremost figure in Afrobeats, contrary to the assumption that he, Wizkid, and Burna Boy collectively hold that position.
He made this assertion recently during an appearance on an American show, Sway’s Universe.
When asked by the host, "You are considered part of the African big 3 alongside Wizkid and Burna Boy. Do you agree that you guys are the top 3 Afrobeats artists globally?"
Davido replied, “I am big me.”
