If I were president, people would apply to do podcasts – Toolz

Nigerian media personality Tolu Oniru, also known as Toolz, expressed her opinion that if she were the president, individuals would need to seek approval before launching podcasts. She suggested that aspiring podcasters would undergo a sanity test as part of the approval process.

Toolz shared these thoughts during the latest episode of her podcast, The Off Air Show.

"If I were to assume the role of President, individuals would need to submit applications for podcasting privileges. They would be required to pass an English proficiency test and undergo a sanity assessment," she remarked.

The podcasting culture is gaining momentum in Nigeria, with numerous hosts and guests stirring controversy on social media with their "outrageous" assertions and "provocative" remarks.

As a result, some social media users have advocated for the regulation of podcast content in Nigeria.
