Nollywood star Tonto Dikeh voiced her dissatisfaction with the boreholes provided to certain communities in Northern Nigeria by Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) during the 2023 elections. Obi had donated and commissioned boreholes for various communities in the North. Dikeh expressed her disappointment on Instagram, highlighting her dissatisfaction with the quality of the boreholes donated to these communities.
She called on the Anambra politician to collaborate with President Bola Tinubu in advancing Nigeria's development.
In her message, she conveyed, "Your Excellency, with utmost respect, @peterobigregory, I am deeply dismayed by this situation. The thought that Nigeria's leadership was almost in your hands is disheartening. This isn't mere criticism; I genuinely express my dissatisfaction with your actions.
"I am utterly astonished. Did you truly have the nation's best interests at heart? This underscores the importance of all of us coming together with Mr. President, @officialasiwajubat, and actively participating in our country's advancement. It's not a task for one individual alone; it necessitates the commitment of all.
"YOUR EXCELLENCY, Mr. Obi, I am profoundly disappointed. Nonetheless, you remain one of my cherished politicians. However, I believe in candidly speaking the truth because my love for you is surpassed by my love for Nigeria."
